El sector de las criptomonedas<\/strong> ha experimentado importantes problemas de liquidez<\/strong>, debido a la incapacidad de los prestamistas para ofrecer una liquidez completa sobre los activos que se prestaron al mismo tiempo durante el gran mercado bajista de 2022.<\/p>\n

En medio de la agitaci\u00f3n, Zipmex<\/strong> anunci\u00f3 en julio que tiene 48 millones de d\u00f3lares<\/strong> (66 millones de d\u00f3lares australianos) de exposici\u00f3n a Babel<\/strong> y 5 millones de d\u00f3lares con Celsius<\/strong>. Como resultado, se convirti\u00f3 en la m\u00e1s reciente v\u00edctima de una crisis de criptomonedas<\/strong> provocada por el fracaso de la stablecoin<\/a> TerraUSD.<\/p>\n

Zipmex concedi\u00f3 la defensa de los acreedores<\/h2>\n

El 22 de julio, la empresa present\u00f3 una solicitud de moratoria<\/strong> que proteger\u00eda a Zipmex Asia y a sus principales filiales operativas de posibles demandas de acreedores<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

En la lista figuran Zipmex Pte Ltd<\/strong><\/a> (la entidad de Singapur), Zipmex Company Limited<\/strong> (la empresa tailandesa), Zipmex Australia<\/strong> y PT Zipmex Exchange<\/strong> Indonesia como las dem\u00e1s entidades identificadas en la solicitud.<\/p>\n

\"UnZipmex declar\u00f3 que la empresa est\u00e1 “explorando m\u00faltiples v\u00edas” para conseguir fondos<\/strong> en un comunicado<\/a> fechado el 2 de agosto. Tras firmar un memorando de entendimiento con dos inversores, declar\u00f3 que est\u00e1 acelerando el proceso de diligencia debida.<\/p>\n

Zipmex hab\u00eda solicitado una pr\u00f3rroga de cinco meses para proteger a las empresas de cualquier acci\u00f3n legal por parte de sus acreedores, pero el juez Aedit Abdullah<\/strong> expres\u00f3 su preocupaci\u00f3n por la falta de comunicaci\u00f3n del grupo con los acreedores, especialmente los consumidores tailandeses, el lunes 15 de agosto.<\/p>\n

Concedi\u00f3 al grupo una pr\u00f3rroga de tres meses, hasta el 2 de diciembre, para resolver las cuestiones planteadas, con la posibilidad de una nueva pr\u00f3rroga en el futuro.<\/p>\n

Aunque el abogado de Zipmex observ\u00f3 que ning\u00fan acreedor tailand\u00e9s ha presentado declaraciones juradas oponi\u00e9ndose a la solicitud del grupo, el juez Aedit Abdullah<\/strong> subray\u00f3 que hay que hacer m\u00e1s para comprometerlos. El juez subray\u00f3 que no han celebrado un cabildo con los acreedores.<\/p>\n
