El mecanismo de validaci\u00f3n del protocolo no verific\u00f3 adecuadamente que las entradas de datos de Verus cubrieran los montos retirados, lo que habilit\u00f3 la ejecuci\u00f3n de salidas no respaldadas mediante pruebas construidas artificialmente.<\/p>\n<h2>Detalles del Exploit<\/h2>\n<p>El an\u00e1lisis on-chain detall\u00f3 que la operaci\u00f3n <strong>se inici\u00f3 con una transferencia m\u00ednima de 0,01 VRSC<\/strong>. A trav\u00e9s de esta transacci\u00f3n, el actor gener\u00f3 las pruebas criptogr\u00e1ficas necesarias utilizando los componentes de conversi\u00f3n del sistema. Posteriormente, ejecut\u00f3 dos llamadas consecutivas a la funci\u00f3n setLatestData() para sobrescribir y promover un stateRoot espec\u00edfico, validando as\u00ed un estado que no reflejaba dep\u00f3sitos reales y eludiendo las funciones de comprobaci\u00f3n de reservas del contrato.<\/p>\n<p>Los registros de la cadena muestran que <strong>los activos extra\u00eddos incluyeron ETH, tBTC, USDC, USDT, EURC, MKR y scrvUSD<\/strong>. Tras la consolidaci\u00f3n, los fondos fueron convertidos a aproximadamente 3.916 ETH y enviados a Tornado Cash, un protocolo de mezcla que oscurece el rastro transaccional y complica las operaciones de trazado y recuperaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Este incidente coincide con el segundo evento mayor registrado en el puente este a\u00f1o.
