SharpLink and Galaxy launch $125 million on-chain yield fund

SharpLink and Galaxy have launched the Galaxy Sharplink Onchain Yield Fund with $125 million in committed capital, according to the companies. Galaxy will manage the fund, which is designed to deploy capital into onchain yield strategies and identified investments.
In May, we announced our plans to partner with @GalaxyHQ and launch the Galaxy Sharplink Onchain Yield Fund. Now, the first investments have been identified and deployments are starting.

The companies said the fund includes $100 million backed by SharpLink’s staked ETH treasury and $25 million from Galaxy. They described the vehicle as an institutional investment fund focused on onchain yield strategies, marking an expansion of SharpLink’s treasury approach beyond holding and staking ETH.
Galaxy said the launch adds a new institutional-grade onchain strategy to its asset management platform. SharpLink’s chief investment officer said the fund is intended to provide initial capital to emerging crypto protocols and projects, framing it as a response to what he described as a funding gap in the ecosystem.
The announcement places the two firms in a more active investment posture around Ethereum-linked capital than a standard treasury strategy. It also reflects a structure in which corporate ETH exposure is being paired with managed deployment into blockchain-based opportunities, rather than remaining limited to passive balance-sheet ownership.
Both companies presented the fund as part of a broader institutional shift toward active participation in onchain markets. The announcement did not provide further detail on specific targets or the timing of individual deployments.
