US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs post Monday outflows after strong prior week

US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds recorded net outflows on Aug. 10, breaking from the stronger inflow trend seen in the prior week. Bitcoin ETFs saw about $144.67 million leave the category, while Ethereum ETFs registered $14.59 million in outflows.
The figures point to a clear shift in daily flow direction, but they do not by themselves explain whether the move reflects short-term repositioning, a pause after recent demand or a broader change in investor appetite. The most recent numbers follow a week in which US spot Bitcoin ETFs and Ethereum ETFs had both attracted sizable inflows.
Bitcoin funds led the day’s redemptions
Among Bitcoin products, the daily withdrawal total was concentrated enough to reverse the positive tone from the previous week. One report tracking the session said the US spot Bitcoin ETF complex saw roughly $145 million in net redemptions, with BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust among the products that recorded withdrawals.
Ethereum ETFs also moved back into negative territory, ending a recent run of positive flow days. The reported $14.59 million outflow was smaller than Bitcoin’s, but it still marked a reversal in sentiment for the category on the day.
Combined, the two groups shed roughly $159 million, according to the figures cited in the reporting. That is meaningful on a daily basis, though it remains below the scale of the inflows the products had attracted during the prior week.
Because the available figures cover only the Aug. 10 session, they show a daily change in flows rather than a confirmed longer-term trend. The next few trading days will show whether the move was an isolated pause or the start of a broader slowdown in spot ETF demand.
