Circle says EURC supply has surpassed €400 million

Circle said its euro-backed stablecoin EURC has crossed €400 million in circulation, marking a new high for the asset as its supply rose by more than 100% over the past year. The company made the update publicly on its EURC page, which showed €402.4 million in circulation as of Aug. 13, 2026.
In the same update, Circle framed the increase as part of a broader shift in how euro stablecoins are being used, saying adoption has moved from experimentation toward more practical activity across exchanges, payments and institutional workflows. The company described the milestone as a sign of growing euro liquidity in the onchain economy.
The figure is notable because euro-denominated stablecoins have historically lagged dollar-backed tokens in circulation and liquidity. Circle’s update suggests EURC has continued to gain traction, but the company’s statement does not by itself establish how much of that growth reflects trading demand, payments activity or institutional settlement use.
EURC is Circle’s euro stablecoin and the latest circulation figure adds another data point to the asset’s expansion over the past year. Circle’s dashboard currently places supply just above the €400 million threshold, while the company’s public post points to more than doubling in circulation over the prior 12 months.
