Securitize partners with CURRENC Capital on issuer-sponsored tokenization

Securitize said it is collaborating with CURRENC Capital, a subsidiary of Currenc Group, to help listed companies evaluate issuer-sponsored tokenization. The companies described the effort as a combination of CURRENC Capital’s issuer-side experience and Securitize’s regulated tokenization and capital-markets infrastructure.
The announcement centers on public-company shares being represented onchain with issuer authorization. In the wording shared by Securitize, the collaboration is aimed at select listed companies that want to assess that model while preserving the rights of the underlying security.
CURRENC Capital said it brings experience from its management team and its parent company’s relationships across global capital markets. Securitize said its regulated affiliates may provide participating issuers with tokenization and related capital-markets infrastructure.
Focus stays on listed companies evaluating the model
The arrangement does not indicate a launch of tokenized shares for a specific company. Instead, it frames the relationship as an issuer-facing collaboration for companies that are exploring whether issuer-sponsored tokenization fits their equity structure and market setup.
That distinction matters because the announcement is about evaluation and support, not a completed issuance. The companies have not said which listed firms, if any, will move ahead under the collaboration.
