Canary Staked TRX ETF Begins Trading on Cboe With Staking Rewards

Canary Capital said its Canary Staked TRX ETF, trading under the ticker TRXS, is live on Cboe. The product gives investors exposure to TRON’s native token while also seeking staking rewards through the TRON network’s proof-of-stake mechanism, according to Cboe’s listed products page for TRXS.

The listing marks the launch of a U.S.-listed fund structure tied to TRX with a staking component built into the product design. Cboe’s page says the trust will hold TRX and seek staking rewards via the TRON DPoS process.

Canary Capital’s post about the launch also said the ETF is not registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and is not a direct investment in TRX. That distinction matters for readers comparing it with more conventional fund structures, since the product’s exposure and legal setup are not the same as simply buying the token itself.

How the product is being framed

The launch has been presented as a brokerage-based way to access TRX without handling the token directly or managing staking on-chain. That structure may appeal to investors looking for market exposure through a listed vehicle, while still leaving the mechanics of staking inside the fund.

Separately, third-party coverage around the listing described TRXS as the first U.S.-listed exchange-traded fund to combine direct exposure to TRON’s native token with built-in staking rewards. Those descriptions align with the public product page and Canary Capital’s own statements, though the core fact remains the same: TRXS is now trading on Cboe with staking tied to the trust’s structure.
