Chainflip Says TRON USDT Exploit Drained 736,442.17 USDT

Chainflip said a TRON USDT exploit allowed an attacker to take 736,442.17 USDT, and that the protocol has paused network activity while it works on a fix. In an incident update on its official blog, the cross-chain protocol said all other funds remain secure and that affected users will be made whole.
The project described the event as a targeted exploit involving its TRON USDT flow. According to Chainflip, the issue was limited to that path, and the protocol did not indicate that other assets or the broader network were affected. The pause means swaps cannot be completed while developers prepare a restart.
Chainflip’s update did not say when the network will resume, but it said work is underway to restore operations safely. The firm also said the incident is being handled as a contained security event rather than a broader compromise of protocol funds.
The disclosure adds more detail to an incident that had already prompted the protocol to halt operations. For now, the main confirmed impacts are the reported USDT loss, the temporary network pause and the promise to reimburse users whose funds were affected.
