NFT weekly sales fall 35.37% even as buyer activity rises

NFT sales dropped 35.37% to $42.13 million over the past seven days, even as buyer participation and transaction counts climbed, according to reporting that cited CryptoSlam data. The figures point to a week in which more wallets traded NFTs, but the overall dollar value of those trades moved lower.
Buyer addresses rose 44.10% to 216,012, while transactions increased 30.54% to 935,198. That combination suggests broader participation across the market, even though the average value of trades appears to have declined alongside total volume.
Ethereum returned to the top spot as Bitcoin volume slid
Ethereum led blockchain NFT sales with $13.17 million, despite a 17.53% weekly decline. The network also recorded 35,285 buyer addresses, up 37.06% from the previous week.
Polygon followed with $9.40 million in sales, up 12.43%, while Bitcoin fell to third place with $6.27 million after a 79.89% drop in weekly sales. Even so, Bitcoin buyer addresses increased 57.79% to 13,540.
Among collections, Courtyard ranked first with $8.58 million in sales. The week’s largest individual NFT transaction was a $2.82 million Bitcoin NFT sale.
The data suggests a market that remained active on a user basis, but where higher participation did not translate into stronger weekly dollar turnover. Ethereum’s return to first place and Bitcoin’s sharp decline in volume were the clearest network-level shifts in the period.
