Floki takes trading bot offline after wallet exploit investigation

Floki said it discovered an exploit affecting its trading bot wallets and took the bot offline while it investigates the incident. In a statement posted on the project’s official X account, the team said it is working to protect remaining user funds, identify affected users and move them to new secure wallets.

The project also warned users not to make deposits into bot wallets and to avoid sharing private keys. It did not provide a loss figure or explain how the exploit occurred.

User wallets are being moved to new addresses

According to the team’s statement, the response focuses on limiting further exposure while the investigation continues. That includes moving affected users to new wallets that the project describes as secure and taking the bot offline in the meantime.

The warning to avoid deposits suggests the bot’s wallet system remains under review. Floki did not say when the service would return or whether the incident affected all users or only a subset of bot wallets.

The message adds to a growing list of security incidents around trading bots and wallet-based tools, where users are often asked to act quickly to protect funds. In this case, the project’s immediate guidance was simple: do not deposit more funds into the bot and do not share private keys.
