SHIB Included in Laser Digital Japan’s FSA-Registered Asset List

Shiba Inu said SHIB has been added to the six digital assets supported by Nomura-backed Laser Digital Japan after the firm completed its registration with Japan’s Financial Services Agency.
The token was listed alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin in the FSA register, which was updated on August 21 and is published by Japan’s regulator at the Financial Services Agency’s crypto registration list. In a post on X, Shiba Inu described the development as a new milestone for SHIB in Japan.
The registration gives Laser Digital Japan a regulated presence in one of the crypto sector’s more tightly controlled markets. The company is part of Nomura’s digital asset business and, according to the materials cited in the post, SHIB is one of only six assets included in its initial lineup.
The list also includes a mix of large-cap tokens rather than a broad market offering, with the approved assets limited to BTC, ETH, XRP, BCH, LTC and SHIB. The public post framed the registration as the first new institutional crypto registration in Japan in four years.
For SHIB, the development adds a regulated market reference point in Japan, though the registration itself does not by itself establish broader trading availability or wider adoption beyond Laser Digital Japan’s approved asset set.
