Solana Says August Transactions Hit 5.2 Billion as Tokenized Assets Reached a New High

Solana said its network handled 5.2 billion non-vote transactions in August, while tokenized asset and real-world asset activity on the chain also reached fresh highs, according to the project’s official X account.
In the same update, Solana highlighted a new all-time high in tokenized equity supply at $683 million. The post also said Solana led August app revenue across chains with $143 million and accounted for a 38% share, though the network did not frame those figures as proof of causation between usage, revenue and asset activity.
No summer slowdown. August wrapped at $143M in app revenue and 5.2B transactions, and September opened with rails built for AI agents.

The August transaction figure marks a new record for the network, building on Solana’s emphasis on high transaction throughput. The post also pointed to several ecosystem milestones, including onchain activity tied to the project’s monthly roundup on X, where it listed the 5.2 billion transaction total alongside broader network and application stats.
Tokenized assets were a second focus of the monthly roundup
Solana’s update said onchain tokenized assets reached a new peak in August, with the tokenized equity supply figure standing out as one of the clearest data points in the post. The network also noted that real-world asset activity continued to expand, with one Solana-linked RWA market surpassing $250 million.
The figures suggest that Solana’s ecosystem was active across both payments-style transaction flow and tokenized asset products during the month. Still, the update itself distinguishes between recorded network activity and broader interpretations of what that activity means for adoption or demand.
Solana’s monthly summary also included other ecosystem markers, such as app revenue, card spending and trading volume across specific applications. Those details point to a busy month for the network, but each metric reflects a different slice of onchain usage rather than one single measure of growth.
