Avalanche expands Safe multi-sig support to C-Chain for L1 teams

Avalanche said Safe multi-signature wallet support has expanded to the Avalanche C-Chain, adding a broader interface for teams using onchain treasury and admin operations. The update builds on nearly two years of Ash Wallet usage by more than 10 L1 teams on mainnet, according to the project’s announcement on X and its Builder Hub blog.

The official Avalanche Developers account said Builder Console now pre-deploys the Safe singleton at genesis to enable Safe multisig support for Avalanche L1s and the C-Chain. In the same announcement, the team said Ash Wallet has been supporting L1 teams for treasury and administrative tasks, while the migration away from the official Safe interface is set to end on June 18.
The change appears to be an infrastructure update rather than a new product launch, with the main practical effect being a wider supported interface for Safe wallets across Avalanche’s ecosystem. The available sources do not fully clarify which teams will move immediately, but Avalanche presented the expansion as live.
Additional confirmation from related posts on X echoed the same message, describing Ash Wallet as the preferred interface for interacting with Safe wallets across the ecosystem. The current status, however, remains tied to the project’s own announcement, and any broader adoption beyond the teams already using Ash Wallet remains to be seen.
