Aerodrome maintains dominant 47% DEX volume share on Base

Aerodrome still accounts for about 47% of decentralized exchange volume on Base over the past 90 days, according to a Base Insights chart tracking the network’s DEX landscape. The post says Aerodrome remains the largest DEX on Base, ahead of Uniswap at 39.9% and PancakeSwap at 10.4%.

Together, those three venues represent 97.3% of the tracked DEX volume in the chart, leaving little room for smaller venues in the current Base trading mix. The figures point to Aerodrome keeping a clear lead even as Uniswap remains a substantial competitor on the chain.

90-day Base DEX split remains concentrated

The chart shared by Base Insights frames the data as a 90-day view of activity on Base, rather than a single-day snapshot. That matters because it suggests Aerodrome’s lead has persisted across a broader period, not just during a brief spike in trading.

At the same time, the figures should be read as volume share, not proof of durable user loyalty or deeper protocol strength on their own. They show where most DEX activity on Base is flowing, but not why traders are routing there or whether the pattern will hold.

The research note linked in the post also describes Aerodrome as holding roughly 47% of Base DEX volume, aligning with the chart’s conclusion that the protocol remains the chain’s largest decentralized exchange by volume.
