Cysic Bridge Halted After Unauthorized 10M CYS Mint on BNB Chain

Cysic has suspended its cross-chain bridge after an unauthorized mint of 10 million CYS on BNB Chain, according to the Cysic Foundation’s incident report on X. The project said the bridge is paused while it reviews the issue and that deposited CYS remains secure inside the bridge contracts.

The foundation’s latest update said all relayers are still paused and that the bridge will reopen only after security checks are completed. It did not say when that review would finish. The incident affects the bridge mechanism rather than Cysic’s broader operations, and the foundation said user deposits in the bridge contracts were not impacted.

Bridge operations remain paused during review

The incident centers on a minting event on BNB Chain, where CYS was created without authorization. Cysic has not framed the issue as a wider network failure, but as a problem tied to bridge operations. In its update, the foundation said it is treating the matter as a security review and keeping relayers offline until the checks are complete.

The project’s public statement did not add new details on recovery timing or on whether any further restrictions will be needed once the bridge returns. For now, the clearest confirmed change is that bridge transfers remain halted while the security process continues.
