Large USDC Treasury Mints on Solana and Ethereum

The USDC treasury minted large amounts of the stablecoin on both Solana and Ethereum, according to on-chain monitoring cited by TokenPost. The report says roughly 168 million USDC was minted on Ethereum, alongside a separate 250 million USDC mint on Solana.

The activity stands out because it involved two major blockchains used heavily for stablecoin transfers and trading settlement. But the minting itself does not automatically show where the new USDC will flow next, or whether it will immediately translate into higher usage on either network.

Whale Alert was cited as the source tracking the individual transactions on chain. The report did not point to a single Circle announcement covering both mints together, so the two issuances should be treated as separate events that happened in the same broad window.

USDC minting typically expands the supply available for circulation, but the on-chain issuance alone does not reveal whether the tokens were already prearranged for exchange liquidity, treasury management, or another operational purpose. Any broader market effect would depend on how the newly minted stablecoins are deployed after issuance.
