Cristiano Ronaldo, a football player, and Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by trading volume, have partnered to promote non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
The Portuguese soccer player and Binance will collaborate on a series of NFT collections for sale on the company’s platform as part of the multi-year agreement, the cryptocurrency exchange said. It added that the first collection would be released later this year and noted that the NFT collections will only be accessible on Binance NFT.
Ronaldo’s fans to be introduced to the world of NFTs
According to the statement, Binance will start global marketing through this cooperation in an effort to introduce Ronaldo’s fans to Web3 and provide them with a compelling entry point into the world of NFTs.
Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best football players in the world, has transcended sports to become an icon in a number of businesses, according to Binance Founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ), who made the comment about the agreement. Through his authenticity, talent, and charitable activity, he has established one of the most devoted fan bases in the entire world.
He continued, “We are thrilled to provide his fans with exclusive engagement opportunities to connect with Ronaldo and own a piece of iconic sports history.”
Christiano Ronaldo also added that he places a high value on his relationship with the fans and that he wanted to be a part of the idea of offering cutting-edge experiences and access through the Binance NFT platform.
Proud to be partnering with @binance

“Together we’ll give you the opportunity to own an iconic piece of sports history,” he continued “I know the fans are going to enjoy the collection as much as I do.”
Professionals in the sports and entertainment industries have recently been observed actively exploring the NFT space and its opportunities. A tokenized trade card or any other type of digital collectable with its owner’s specific ownership rights documented on the blockchain may be an NFT in the context of sports. The majority, if not all, of these opportunities, will be available to Cristiano Ronaldo’s fans as a result of this agreement.
