XRP Ledger Batch V1.1 amendment one validator vote from activation after security fixes

The XRP Ledger’s Batch V1.1 amendment is one validator vote away from beginning its activation countdown, after RippleX said the feature has been rebuilt and cleared additional security review.

The amendment is currently up for validator voting, with XRPL Dashboard showing BatchV1_1 at 27 of 35 trusted-validator votes, or one vote short of the 80% threshold needed to trigger the two-week activation process.

Batching up to eight transactions

Batch V1.1 would allow users to bundle up to eight transactions into a single atomic operation. That makes the feature relevant for cases where multiple actions need to complete together, rather than one succeeding while another fails.

RippleX staff software engineer Mayukha Vadari said on X that Batch V1.1 shipped in xrpld 3.3.0 and is now up for voting. She also said the team rebuilt the feature after a signature bug in version 1.0 was caught before mainnet deployment.

Security work before the vote

Vadari said the rebuild included a root-cause fix, four senior reviewers, a Sherlock attackathon, and audits from Halborn and Common Prefix. She added that the security work addressed 11 bugs before the amendment reached the current voting stage.

The post also said the feature is linked to atomic transactions on Devnet, indicating the upgrade has already been tested in a network environment before its broader rollout can proceed.

If another trusted validator votes in favor, Batch V1.1 would move into the two-week activation period required before the amendment can go live on the XRP Ledger.
