XRPL joins Eurøpe Consortium as euro stablecoin push widens across regulated rails

XRPL Commons has joined the Eurøpe Consortium, a group formed to support EURØP, a euro e-money token issued by Schuman Financial under Europe’s MiCA framework. The consortium was presented in an official SwissBorg blog post that listed XRPL Commons among the founding participants.

The move places XRPL alongside other members backing the token’s distribution and infrastructure efforts. Based on the consortium’s description, the initiative is aimed at making a regulated euro stablecoin more usable across European platforms rather than announcing a new standalone token launch on XRPL.

EURØP is already described as operating across multiple networks, including XRPL, alongside Avalanche, Ethereum, Polygon and Solana. That means the latest update is about participation in a broader consortium effort and the continued support of a token that already spans several chains, not a fresh deployment event on a single network.

Regulated euro stablecoin support takes center stage

The consortium’s framing puts regulated euro-denominated onchain finance at the center of the effort. According to the materials around the launch, the group is focused on access and distribution, infrastructure and integrations, practical applications and market development. XRPL Commons’ inclusion suggests the network’s ecosystem wants a place in that broader adoption push.

Still, the update does not by itself show new user demand, transaction growth or immediate changes in usage. It confirms alignment around EURØP’s regulated structure and consortium participation, while the practical impact will depend on how the members roll out integrations and distribution over time.
