Crypto.com has signed a partnership with the Australian Soccer League

With increased recognition and relevance, the crypto sector is marking entries into various other fields. It has successfully stormed into the entertainment and sports industry by different means. Cryptocurrency exchanges and blockchain networks are signing up contracts and sponsorship deals with renowned personalities and organizations. In a recent development, Crypto.com has announced a 5-year partnership deal with the Australian Football League (AFL).

Crypto.com is a popular cryptocurrency exchange that is home to an extensive global crypto community. The exchange is known for providing crypto-related services in an effective manner. Thus, the announced collaboration is a big feat for the exchange, as it will make it more relevant among consumers.

Crypto.com makes a way into the global sports industry

The cryptocurrency exchange will also be a partner to AFLW. With the signed agreement, Crypto.com will be an official partner for all the competitions and tournaments held by AFL and AFLW. It is now the first cryptocurrency exchange that has moved to sponsor any women’s sporting competition. Therefore, the decision is gaining a lot of admiration and support from the crypto community.

With the signed agreement, the exchange has won the exclusive naming rights for the AFL’s “Score Review”. The complete deal amounts to 18 million USD for a five-year-long program.

The co-founder and chief executive of Crypto.com, Kris Marszalek, expressed the interest of his organization to invest in Australia and lead the race of crypto adoption in the region. The chief executive of AFL, Gillon McLachlan, also shared his positive view of the crypto and blockchain industry.

Crypto.com has been actively pursuing partnerships and sponsorship deals with various global sports competitions. It also partnered up with the UFC, Formula One, and NBA team – Philadelphia 76ers. Moreover, the platform is also partners with the Italian soccer league, Serie-A, and French soccer team, Paris Saint-German.

Towards the end of the previous year, Crypto.com agreed to sign a partnership deal with the Angel City of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). The exchange also signed a naming rights deal of worth $700m for the Staples Center, as it is now named Crypto.com Arena.

Australia is emerging as a crypto-friendly region as locals there are showing more interest in the use of cryptocurrencies. Recently, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia also announced its plan to allow crypto trading through its platform. This has encouraged the crypto community in the country. Under such circumstances, Crypto.com will have a chance of becoming the leading service provider in the region.
