Bybit Will Allow Trading of International Stocks Using USDT

TL;DR

  • Bybit enabled trading for 78 global stocks using USDT, including Coinbase and the “Magnificent 7,” within its Gold & FX section.
  • The service operates through contracts for difference (CFDs), allowing users to speculate on price movements without buying the underlying shares, while also receiving dividend adjustments.
  • With this integration, Bybit expands its crypto-financial ecosystem and makes stock market access easier without leaving stablecoins or relying on fiat money.

Bybit expanded its financial product offering and now allows users to trade international stocks using USDT as a medium of exchange.

This new feature includes 78 shares from companies around the world, among them Coinbase and the so-called “Magnificent 7.” The service is already available in the platform’s Gold & FX section and aims to improve access to traditional markets from within a crypto environment.

The tool operates under a contracts for difference (CFD) model, which lets users speculate on asset prices without physically owning them. Trades are settled based on the difference between the entry and exit price, streamlining transactions and avoiding the usual procedures tied to directly buying shares. Additionally, users will receive dividend adjustments whenever ex-dividend events occur, either credited or debited depending on their market position.

Bybit Connects Its Services with Traditional Markets

Several platforms are gradually merging their crypto services with traditional stock markets. Kraken, for example, announced weeks ago an expansion to include U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds, alongside its proposed $1.5 billion acquisition of NinjaTrader. Crypto.com also offers stock and ETF trading through a partnership with Foris Capital US LLC, a broker-dealer registered with the SEC.

Platforms like Robinhood and eToro already combine traditional assets and cryptocurrencies, though the number of tokens available on their listings remains limited. Bybit and other exchanges aim to offer a broader range of products, giving users the ability to manage different types of investments within a single environment.

With stocks backed by USDT, Bybit now provides a tool that allows traders to participate in the stock market without leaving the crypto ecosystem. This integration brings more options and tools for investors while using the stability of stablecoins to simplify transactions that previously relied exclusively on fiat currencies.
