Strategy Inc. has officially confirmed the establishment of a strategic USD reserve valued at $1.44 billion to guarantee operations. Michael Saylor, the firm’s chairman, announced this defensive measure on Monday, also revealing that the company continues accumulating Bitcoin despite current uncertainty.

The company bought an additional 130 BTC for $11.7 million, bringing its total holdings to a record figure of 650,000 bitcoins. Phong Le, the entity’s CEO, explained that the new cash fund is designed specifically to cover interest and dividend payments during the next 21 months of operations. On the other hand, this move ensures liquidity without immediately depending on external capital markets.

This decision represents a tactical evolution in the absolute accumulation philosophy that has historically defined the technology corporation. Previously, selling was an unthinkable option, but now financial protections are established against global market volatility. Thus, the creation of this liquidity cushion seeks to mitigate short-term risks and offer stability in the face of a tense economic environment and challenges.

Could financial pressure force the company to liquidate its digital assets?

The executive admitted that if shares fall below net asset value and they fail to raise capital, they could sell assets. Experts warn of systemic risks in the market, comparing the situation to recent and dangerous global financial tensions. Consequently, analysts fear that the market may react negatively to this structural shift linking software with leverage.

Although they insist there is no risk of forced liquidation, the scenario for investors has changed radically today. The asset valuation threshold becomes a critical indicator for the immediate future of these companies. Therefore, Bitcoin’s next move will decide if this corporate strategy maintains its hegemony or faces a historic resilience test without precedent.
