Strategy, the company led by Michael Saylor and recognized as the largest public holder of Bitcoin, increased its holdings again this week.
The company acquired 4,980 BTC totaling $531.1 million, according to a filing with the SEC. The purchase was made at an average price of $106,801 per coin. The transaction coincided with Bitcoin’s rise from $101,000 to over $108,000 between June 23 and June 30.
With this operation, Strategy raised its total holdings to 597,325 BTC, accumulated for a historic value of $42.4 billion. The average purchase price remains at $70,982 per BTC, leaving the firm with a position that continues to appreciate as the market strengthens. Since early 2025, the company has added 85,871 BTC, representing an additional $9.5 billion to its balance. Throughout 2024, it acquired 140,538 BTC.
Strategy Approaches Its 25% Annualized Yield Target
The annualized yield of its BTC portfolio rose to 19.7%, approaching the 25% goal set for the end of 2025. The quarterly yield also improved, reaching 7.8%. This trend follows the price increase and aligns with the company’s long-term objectives since it started its constant buying strategy in August 2020.
Additionally, on-chain analysts reported that Strategy transferred 7,383 BTC, worth about $796 million, to three new addresses. This is interpreted as a custody reorganization, as the firm has historically maintained a strict buy-and-hold policy. It made only one small sale in December 2022, which it reversed two days later.
Michael Saylor publicly recalled the beginnings of this strategy and reaffirmed his conviction about Bitcoin as a long-term store of value. According to his statements, the priority is not to sell, but to preserve and leverage the asset for future generations. Strategy’s policy has become an institutional benchmark for other investors.
