Changphen Zhao: Binance will not pay dividends to holders of BNB

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance faces a strict regulatory check from Singaporean authorities

CEO Binance Changpeng Zhao said the company would not pay dividends to BNB (Binance Coin) tokens holders. He explained that this would make the coin a security and that it would fall under the sanctions of regulators.

“No, that would make BNB a security token, and you don’t want to, ” Zhao answered the question about paying the stake to Binance Coin owners.

Meanwhile, the BNB is showing rapid growth. Over the past week, the price of the coin rose by 40% and almost passed the mark of $ 14.

Earlier, Changpeng Zhao proposed making Binance Coin a means of payment. He noted that after launching on the Binance Chain blockchain, the coin will have sufficient bandwidth and scalability for everyday calculations.
