Kraken launched a high-touch VIP program on December 4, 2025 targeting ultra high net worth individuals and institutional clients. The invitation-only offering provides bespoke service with dedicated relationship managers, early product access, and negotiated commercial terms, positioning the exchange as a partner for large-scale digital-asset investors.
The VIP program pairs each member with a specialist Relationship Manager backed by 24/7 support and direct multichannel contact with Kraken subject-matter experts across product, engineering, liquidity, custody and infrastructure. Members receive early exposure to the full product ecosystem through private betas and structured feedback sessions that allow them to influence product development.
The service also includes tailored onboarding and one-on-one analyst sessions covering portfolio construction, risk assessment and market analysis. Kraken supplements these services with curated, high-end experiences and a private network that connects founders, allocators, family offices and long-tenured crypto practitioners to facilitate strategic relationships.
Ultra high net worth individual (UHNWI) — a person with at least $30 million in net investable assets.
Eligibility, fees and strategic context of Kraken
Entry is strictly by invitation and subject to quantitative and qualitative screening: typical thresholds are a $10 million average platform balance or $80 million in annual trading volume, alongside an application review and selected referrals. Benefits and availability vary by jurisdiction and partner arrangements, reflecting regulatory and operational constraints.
For bespoke services, fees are negotiated and disclosed up front as part of individualized agreements; Kraken positions this transparency as a counterpoint to industry concerns about opaque charge structures.
Kraken developed the program internally since 2018 and refined it via a private pilot before the public debut. The firm frames the initiative as a move to capture a higher echelon of capital than competing premium offerings, arguing the combination of high entry thresholds and deep service delivers a differentiated product for large-scale holders. “Ultra high net worth clients don’t come to us for speed alone; they come to us because they expect a partner who matches their ambition,” said Arjun Sethi, co‑CEO of Kraken. The company frames the program as a gateway to accelerate institutional adoption by offering compliance-ready, liquidity-focused services and bespoke operational support.
Kraken’s VIP program formalizes a premium lane within its platform for the very largest digital-asset investors, combining operational access, product influence and curated networking.
