Rapper Iggy Azalea officially launched Thrust this Wednesday. It is a new token launchpad platform based on Solana. The project seeks to combat the “pump-and-dump” culture that plagues the sector. Iggy Azalea’s Thrust platform on Solana aims to legitimize celebrity-led “culture coins.” Azalea, known for her MOTHER memecoin, will serve as the project’s creative director and strategic partner.
Thrust will operate differently than open platforms like Pump.fun. Each project will be vetted and legally binding. According to its founders, the system will merge the transparency of the blockchain with enforceable entertainment contracts. The goal is to eliminate insider allocations and price manipulation. Fans can join the community in the app, add funds (crypto or fiat), and purchase in timed windows. Tokens will be gradually released (vesting) to holders.
This launch addresses the heavy criticism surrounding celebrity coins. Many are seen as short-lived, speculative scams. Azalea, who launched her MOTHER token in 2024, is seeking sustainability. “I’ve sort of been sitting dormant trying to figure out how can I create some sort of real revenue,” said the artist. For example, the HAWK token crashed 93% minutes after its launch. The MOTHER itself faced allegations of insider activity, though Azalea denied responsibility at the time.

Project co-founder Jake Antifaev described Thrust as an attempt to “onboard pop culture into crypto responsibly.” The platform’s focus is on accountability, not speculation. They seek creators who are committed to their fans, rather than quick launches. Azalea stated her role will be like that of a “godmother,” helping to onboard other celebrities. This curated model aims to restore lost trust in the sector.
Iggy Azalea’s Thrust platform on Solana already has its first launches scheduled. The first includes Twitch streamer N3on. Furthermore, actress Megan Fox is expected to launch her own token on the platform during Art Basel in December. Azalea’s own MOTHER token will also migrate to the Thrust platform by the end of the year.
