US Marshals Service is looking for an intermediary for the sale of cryptocurrency

The US Marshals Service has posted an announcement about the search for an intermediary firm that will store and sell the confiscated cryptocurrency. The authorities want to sell digital assets that were used in drug trafficking and financial crimes.

"The contractor should be able to store all types and quantities of virtual currency without restrictions during the entire term of this contract," the agency said in a statement.

The firm must provide a high level of security to protect digital assets from theft. In addition, the intermediary should be able to exchange cryptocurrency for fiat money.

Earlier, the Belgian authorities appealed to the Irish auction house Wilsons Auctions for sale of 315 BTC confiscated from criminal groups.
