Commission in the Bitcoin network fell to the level of 2014

According to a new report published yesterday, February 11, by analyst firm Crypto and Blockchain Diar, commission fees in the Bitcoin network update the multi-year minimum.

Although the number of transactions in the network of the first cryptocurrency beat the maximum of last year and almost reached the record levels of 2017, the average transaction fee in BTC continues to decline and has already reached the level of 2014.

"The average commissions are also at levels that have not been observed since 2015, despite the fact that the total monthly volume of bitcoins moved in the network is at higher levels than during most of 2018," the report says.

Last month, Diar reported that cryptobirds closed 2018 with “record transaction volumes”. So, on the main US crypto exchange Coinbase, according to official data, the trading volume in dollar equivalent increased by 21% in 2018 compared with 2017. Over the same period, an increase of 192% and 50% was observed on the exchanges Kraken and Bitfinex, respectively.

However, last week Diar published a report stating that since the beginning of 2019 trading volumes on stock exchanges cryptocurrency fell to levels that have not been observed since 2017.
