Co-founder of the Ethereum cryptocurrency Vitalik Buterin considers a fork of Bitcoin SV “fire in the dumpster”. Such a statement he made during another altercation on twitter with kryptonitetm and owner Tuurem the Demister.
During a discussion on Twitter Buterin spoke about the advantages and disadvantages of the algorithms Proof-of-Work (PoW) and Proof-of-Stake (PoS), which in the future should go cryptocurrency Ethereum, saying that he believes in the PoW.
Initially, the project Bitcoin SV had planned to use blocks giant size. It was supposed to solve the problem of scaling the blockchain, however, the team faced technical difficulties and displeasure.
Aldon came up in conversation after the user under the nickname @SatoshiVisions asked Buterin opinion about it. Or rather, tried to casually deride the proposals of the Bitcoin developers about scaling, calling Lightning Network is a joke, which is able to solve only one problem out of many. Thus, he hinted at a limited bandwidth network. Buterin disagreed with him and responded rather harshly.
“I don’t really agree with the concept of development of Bitcoin, PoW and so on, but they’re trying to make a really cool technology. A BSV is simply a fire in the trash (dumpster fire)”, — wrote Buterin.
