Institutional investors who plan to 2019 to enter the cryptocurrency market, it is important to understand that in the short term, nothing to do here, said President and chief operating officer of the exchange Coinbase Asif, Hirji (Asiff Hirji).

“If you have some time horizon for investing in cryptocurrency as an institutional investor, it is better not to touch them. But if you have a long-term view on where to move cryptocurrencies, Coinbase is the best choice for you,” he said.

According to Hirji, the company warned investors to be careful in a period of explosive growth of bitcoin in 2017, however, many cryptocurrency enthusiasts do not heed the warning.

The head Coinbase agreed that such an influx of institutional investors in the cryptocurrency industry, which occurred in 2018, never was, and even reducing trading volume did not affect this trend.

“We have hundreds of financial institutions on our custodial platform,” said Asif, Hirji.

He also acknowledged that although the company had previously estimated at $8 billion, now it costs less and the profit declined with the decline in trading volumes. According to the operating Director of the company, his team will have to work a lot for entering stock exchange
