Binance Cryptocurrency Exchange Received ISO

Security Certification

One of the largest, according to the daily trading volume, Binance cryptocurrency exchange, after meeting all the requirements for compliance with standards from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), it received a certificate of information security.

In order to comply with the internationally recognized ISO / IEC 27001 standard, Binance has been audited by the Norwegian company DNV GL, which is an internationally accredited registrar, and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, a national accreditation body that evaluates firms according to various standards.

According to the company, accreditation makes Binance “the first company in the cryptocurrency industry that has been verified by DNV and UKAS.”

During the audit, Binance was tested against 114 criteria in 14 categories, including security policy, asset management, operational security and information systems.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said: “Obtaining an ISO certificate is an important aspect of our commitment to security in the industry and maintaining confidence for our community. We will continue to increase our investment in improving protection against cyber threats. ”

Accreditation will probably help reassure users after the exchange lost $ 40.7 million in bitcoin as a result of the May hack.
