The founder of the company Adamant Capital Tuur Demeester sure that Ethereum is nothing more than a science experiment. He believes that developers will not be able to solve the problem of network scalability.
Demeester believes that the Protocol Casper — a theoretical solution that won’t work outside of the test network. In addition, he doubts that the upgraded network will be compatible with all the tokens of the standard ERC20.
The expert criticized the transition Ethereum algorithm Proof-of-Stake (PoS) instead of Proof-of-Work (PoW).
“PoS is not a new concept. PoW was one of the greatest innovations, due to which there was bitcoin. PoS has been recognized as impractical because it was too vulnerable to censorship”, — explained Demeester.
Earlier Tuur Demeester expressed the opinion that the price of bitcoin will not be able to update the maximum in 2018. Nevertheless, the expert believes in the growth of the first cryptocurrency in the long term.
