Strike is providing consumers an alternative to traditional card networks. They can now utilize the Bitcoin Lightning Network technology for fast, efficient, and cheaper payments. The service can be availed by over 70 million CashApp users and any other user with a wallet that supports Bitcoin Lightning Network.

The Lightning Network is a Layer-2 payment and communication protocol that is built on the Bitcoin blockchain. Transactions on this network are processed off-chain. Thus, it takes the load off the mainnet. It also improves the scalability of the network and makes it more efficient.
