Exactly one year later, bitcoin halving will occur, which will reduce the reward for each mined block to 6.25 BTC.
To date, about 84.36% of all bitcoins have been mined, and the last 15.64% will take more and more time.
The reduction will occur approximately May 22, 2020 , and the reward for each block will be reduced from 12.5 to 6.25 Bitcoins.
You can track the dynamics in real time.
This is quite an important event, marking the growth of the digital asset. Historically, every halving is accompanied by a growth rate. In 2016, Bitcoin has grown about 10 times.

Halving is a tool to reduce inflation, reducing the reward for a block does not affect the price of Bitcoin instantly.
In previous times, the effect was noticeable only after a couple of months.
