Russia will study the issue of trade with Venezuela for Petro

The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, after his visit to Moscow, where he held a business meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, said that he proposed to his colleague to move to payments in bitcoin and now the Russian authorities are studying this issue.

“We told Russia about the possibility of a Petro. The use of Petro as funds for commercial settlements with Russia is brought to the joint Committee in March,” he said.

In addition, Maduro told local reporters that from 2019 all oil products of the country will be sold only for the national cryptocurrency Petro. Thus, according to the President of Venezuela, Russia provides more than $5 billion, to increase oil production in Venezuela.

In addition, the Venezuelan President announced about the readiness of Russian side to invest $1 billion in the gold mining industry, and also about deliveries from Russia of 600 thousand tons of grain in 2019.
