Company Bitmain will close the office in Amsterdam

Mining company Bitmain has confirmed the rumors about closing the office in Amsterdam and another reduction of staff. The company management explained that the change of the business model.

Shortly before Bitmain closed the office in Israel and fired 20 people.

“As we build long-term, sustainable and scalable business, we make adjustments in our personnel and operations. This includes the decision to close our offices in Amsterdam and Israel”, — explained representatives of the company.

Bitmain has not yet announced the date of closure of the office and the number of employees who will get under reduction. According to LinkedIn, in the Dutch office the company employs 9 people.

“We really focused on the things that are essential to our mission, not on things that are ancillary. We will continue to hire the best specialists from different fields”, — summarized the representatives of Bitmain.

Previously, the company shut down the Texas mining center and laid off all employees, except chief engineers and HR policy Director.
