In the Russian Federation launching a blockchain-based platform for loans intellectual property

In the beginning of next year Russia will launch a financial platform based on the blockchain for loans secured by intellectual property. This was reported by General Director of non-profit all-Russian public organization “Russian authors ‘society” (RAO) Alexander Sukhotin.

According to him, the market is experiencing a serious need for such a model, where copyright holders will be able to meet directly with investors and to loans secured by patents and other forms of intellectual property.

“Service CoFi will be launched in the first quarter of 2019. He has already passed certain stages of development, it is already clear structure, the overall concept, how it will work. It will be an electronic platform, where potential borrowers with the range of intellectual property and willing to pledge drive. On the other hand, will meet investors who are willing to either in automatic mode to provide loan funds or to be active participants in the site, selecting those projects where they are willing to invest on certain reasonable conditions,” said Sukhotin.

The head of RAO drew attention to the fact that restrictions for owners of the platform does not provide: bail can offer different kinds of objects, including patents, music, fine arts. Now we are working on the selection of experts who will be able to assess the different forms of ownership.

“We are talking about the mortgage amounts in millions of rubles”, — summed up Sukhotin.
